MFN Lucha x Pro Club
What happens when lucha libre, fashion, and music share the same ring? On July 5th, MFN Lucha x Pro Club answered that question with its biggest installment yet, transforming The Mayan into a collision of live wrestling, DJ sets, and personal style. Pro Club debuted custom in-ring looks for the wrestlers while guests arrived in their Sunday’s best. Latinas, Gypsy Mac and Zara Zakher, took the ring in a show down as the very first match.
Beyond the ring, the night unfolded through a World Cup watch party, custom lucha libre-inspired bouquets, exclusive merchandise, and DJs soundtracking every match. The event instantly sold out the theatre with a cap at 1,600 guests for barely their 5th installment at a venue nearly triple the size of the previous. If the crowd proved anything, it was that half the show was happening off the mat.
The event is brought to you by music industry veterans Mike Snell and Luis Vela who met on tour with Teyana Taylor. As a DJ, producer, and audio engineer, Snell has received Grammy nominations for his contributions to “I hate Being Bipolar It’s Awesome” by Ye and earned over 3 billion total streams across his entire catalog. His one wish was to DJ inside of a wrestling ring and his business partner help him achieve just that. 5 events later they are packing out theaters and are the masterminds behind the production.
